Webhead Hotlinks

You anticipate viewing them; you watch, you tape, you call your friends after. What else can it be? Collecting shows!

Well, by using the web you can be even more on top of things. PBS’s Antiques Roadshow has a web site featuring:

The Antiques Roadshow’s, site stresses that everyone’s collections are treasures. You also get some background on the show’s host, antiques expert Chris Jussel and learn about how he got into the business.

“1998 Tour” gives you the date, city, and convention center where the show will be taped and directions on how to get on t.v.! Two items per person, please!

“Program Highlights” and “Broadcast Schedules” feature the ’98 and ’97 season where the program is/was taped, the number of the show, and the PBS broadcast date. This section also has a link and an 800 number on how to order videos.

The “Program Highlights” section gives you the object that was appraised, a picture, and history! You can even click on the pictures to get a larger view!

Get biographies on the appraisers in the “Appraisers” section.

“Auction Houses” highlights the world’s leading auction houses and their history.

“Appraise It Yourself” is a contest that changes monthly. If you submit the right answer, you'll be entered in the prize drawing.

Off of the Fox network site are “Highlights” and “Schedules” from Personal fX and the Supercollectors Show.

The fX site is great for seeing what was on the show and what’s coming up. They don't provide information on tapes.

I came across an fX bulletin board called The Old fX fan forum. There are many devoted fans of fX, even before they were taken over by Fox. They comment about the show and answer questions. It’s great if you missed something.
