When you hear the name ArtServe Michigan it is natural to wonder exactly what the organization does and why we would be involved with the Detroit Area Art Deco Society. The short explanation is simple - ArtServe Michigan's mission is to support arts, arts education and culture in Michigan in all forms.
ArtServe Michigan (ASM) is a nonprofit statewide arts advocacy organization that builds support for arts and cultural throughout Michigan. With roots covering over three decades - ArtServe continues to provide the types of services and programs that impact the lives of Michigan residents.
"Our goal is to build strong support for the arts wherever we can," says Barbara Kratchman, president of ArtServe Michigan. "By partnering with DAADS we have expanded support for our mission. A person attending the Michigan Modernism Exposition on April 22 will not only enjoy the exposition, but will also have the opportunity to learn about the programs and services offered by ArtServe Michigan." Kratchman added, "This partnership allows ArtServe to reach a new audience while also gaining additional income. Any way you look at it it's a win, win situation and we are grateful to DAADS for the opportunity."
