The evening was swank and sophisticated. Those who attended also had the opportunity to see an innovative project that saved the former lodent Building (remember the toothpaste?) from the possible fate of demolition.

The Kimo is a unique 1927 vaudeville and movie theatre that was the dream of immigrant, Oreste Bachechi, an enterprising entrepreneur who came from humble beginnings. Oreste rose to fame and fortune in Albuquerque, with many businesses bearing his name.

I call it a pilgrimage because this is like heaven for Arts and Crafts enthusiasts. And it felt like we were in heaven when we finally arrived at the inn.
